Rules

All names being the same is crucial for both finding your opponent and clarity for the TO. Please respect everybody’s time and make yourself easy to find. Keep in mind, to ping someone in Discord you only need to type "@" followed by the first few letters of their name and hit TAB to autocomplete.

You must Check In on Challonge and be available in the Discord prior to the start time of the tournament. Check In takes place 1 hour before the tournament begins. Signing up is not the same as Checking In.
Upon the request of the TO in the Discord, join the stream lobby.
Winner must report the match on Challonge.
Only one console/account per entrant.
Kanzuki Beach, Skies of Honor, and Flamenco Tavern stage must be agreed upon prior to the start of the match.
DO NOT compete in Round 1 until the tournament has officially begun. Brackets are automatically reorganized by Challonge prior to the start of the tournament to account for competitors who have not checked in.

FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THESE RULES CAN RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION

Regular Matches are Best 2 of 3
All Finals/Semi-Finals are Best 3 of 5
Loser has the option to change character. If the Winner chose Random Select, they must choose Random Select again.
All Top 8 will be on stream with various matches streamed from winner’s side leading up to Top 8.
Speed/Ping Tests can be performed upon request of competitor and will be discussed with the TO. If a conclusion cannot be agreed upon the match will be decided by a coin flip.
Kanzuki Beach, Skies of Honor, and Flamenco Tavern stage must be agreed upon prior to the start of the match.

ONLINE TOURNAMENT SPECIFIC RULES:

Players must have an upload speed above 3 Mbps. Speeds can be checked [here.](http://www.speedof.me/)
Players must have a ping below 60 ms and a jitter lower than 10 ms when connected to a common server chosen between the players. Ping can be tested [here.](http://www.speedof.me/)
If players cannot connect the player with the most amount of losses will be given the loss. If players have equal losses then both players will be given a loss.
If a TO suspects that players are trying to game the rules and undermine the spirit of competition they will be immediately disqualified and not receive any prizes.
Players are prohibited from using macros, turbos, or any peripheral which tampers with standard game functionality. No bots.
ANY EVIDENCE OF PLAYER COLLUSION WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT BAN FROM R/SF TOURNAMENTS OR SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.

ROUND ROBIN SIDE TOURNAMENT

A Round Robin side bracket will be provided for players who are eliminated early from the tournament but want to compete and gain experience.
This Side tournament is opt in for all players who want to compete.
The Round Robin Tournament will begin approximately 1 hour after the start of the main tournament.

Players can report their own score.
